HOW WE STARTED
Our journey began in 1950, and we take immense pride in being pioneers of lawn care and cricket ground equipment in Pakistan. Over the decades, Liberal has grown from a humble family business into a brand synonymous with quality, innovation, and reliability.
1950
The Beginning:
Founded by Muhammad Tufail, Liberal Lawn Mowers introduced its first model, the ‘Tiger Billa,’ which quickly became the most sought-after lawn mower in Pakistan.
1960-1970
Expansion & Growth:
Liberal expanded its range, introducing domestic lawn mowers, including the iconic heavy-duty mower with three cutting widths (18″, 24″, and 30″), which became a hallmark of our craftsmanship.
1970-1980
Revolutionizing Lawn Equipment:
Our lawn care range grew to include lawn rollers, sweepers, fertilizer sprayers, hedge cutters, and trimmers, addressing diverse customer needs.
1980-1985
Tractor-Driven Innovation Takes Lead:
Suhail Iqbal transformed large-scale lawn maintenance by inventing the first tractor-trailed mower in Pakistan. This innovation combined cylinder mower blades up to 60″ wide with a ride-on option, leading to the launch of the HDLM 48 and HDLM 60 models, which are still operational today.
1985-1990
Gang Mowers, Reimagined for Pakistan:
In collaboration with Lahore Gymkhana Club, Suhail Iqbal precisely replicated imported gang mowers without dismantling a single part, making them accessible and affordable locally
1985-1990
Petrol and Electric: Innovation in Parallel:
The ALM petrol lawn mower series debuted with three models, setting industry standards. Soon after, an electric mower series followed, offering eco-friendly alternatives with identical specifications.
1990-1995
Pop up & Irrigation Innovation :
Responding to rising demand, we introduced Pakistan’s first pop-up sprinkler system, completing prestigious projects for clients like FFC, ENGRO, Royal Palm Golf Club, and Pakistan Air Force.
1990-1995
Super Certes & Mastiff: A Game-Changer for Pitch Perfection: Collaborating with PCB, we replicated imported Ransomes Mastiff mowers and launched the Super Certes fine cutter with up to 12 blades, revolutionizing cricket outfield and pitch maintenance.
1992:
Pakistan’s First Auto Roller:
Development of Pakistan’s first Auto-Roller, which became a game-changer for cricket pitch rolling.
1998
Rotary Slashers: Engineered for Wild Growth Control:
Introduction of the Rotary Slasher series for a Pakistan Aeronautical Complex., addressing wild growth and heavy grass maintenance challenges
1999
Pakistan’s First Sprinkler Rain Gun System Debuts:
Launch of Pakistan’s first sprinkler rain gun system, supporting PCB projects for national cricket grounds
2000
Expanding tractor mowers:
The Rough Cut mower, inspired by Maschio’s design, was added to our lineup, meeting heavy-duty requirements for agricultural and wild terrain
2005
First Exports to Gulf:
Liberal began exporting cricket ground equipment to the Middle East, catering to renowned clubs like Abu Dhabi Cricket Club, Kuwait Cricket Club, and Qatar Cricket Association
2010-2020
A decade of Excellence:
Liberal expanded into sports field construction, partnering with local councils, educational institutions, and private developers to deliver iconic cricket grounds, polo fields, golf courses, and tennis courts across Pakistan.
2020-Onwards
Global Reach Liberal:
launched the Super Sopper and began exporting cricket ground equipment to the USA, marking our entry into the North American market. Today, Liberal remains a trusted name for providing innovative solutions to meet the demands of sports and lawn care globally.
